Location Issues

Having trouble with location? Here's how to get EetEet finding trucks near you.

"Can't Access Your Location"

Check Location Permissions

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap Privacy & Security > Location Services
  3. Make sure Location Services is ON
  4. Scroll down and tap EetEet
  5. Select While Using the App

Then close and reopen EetEet.

Wrong Location Shown

  • Move away from tall buildings or covered areas
  • Go outside if you're indoors
  • Wait a moment for GPS to update
  • Pull down on the feed to refresh, or tap the location button on the map

Reset Location Services

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
  2. Turn Location Services OFF
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Turn it back ON
  5. Open EetEet again

No Food Trucks Showing

Check Your Area

EetEet food trucks are primarily in Hilo, Hawaii. If you're outside our service area, you may not see trucks nearby.

  • Zoom out on the map
  • Remove the "Open Now" filter
  • Check back at different times of day — not all trucks are open all the time

Location and Battery

Set location permission to While Using the App (not "Always"). EetEet only accesses location when the app is open and doesn't track you in the background.

Map Not Loading

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Close and reopen the app
  3. Make sure you're running the latest app version
  4. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular

VPN or Privacy Tools

VPNs can interfere with location accuracy. Try temporarily disabling your VPN if location seems off.
