Live Activity¶
Track your order right from your lock screen without opening the app.
What is Live Activity?¶
Live Activity is an iOS feature that shows real-time updates on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island (on supported iPhones).
How It Works¶
When you place an order:
- A Live Activity starts automatically
- Your lock screen shows order status
- Updates appear as your order progresses
- The activity ends when your order is picked up
What You'll See¶
The Live Activity shows:
- Food truck name
- Current status (Placed, In Progress, Ready)
- Order summary
On iPhones with Dynamic Island, you'll also see a compact view at the top of your screen.
Enabling Live Activity¶
Live Activity should work automatically. If you don't see it:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Go to EetEet
- Enable Live Activities
Disabling Live Activity¶
If you prefer not to see Live Activities:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Go to EetEet
- Turn off Live Activities
You'll still receive push notifications and can track orders in the app.
Requirements¶
- iPhone running iOS 16.1 or later
- Live Activities enabled in Settings
Troubleshooting¶
Live Activity not appearing?
- Make sure you have iOS 16.1 or later
- Check that Live Activities are enabled
- Restart the app and place a new order
Live Activity stuck?
- Try opening the app to refresh the status
- The activity will update shortly
